Nursing jobs abroad · United Kingdom
🇬🇧The UK's NHS and private hospitals are among the most familiar destinations for Indian nurses — English-speaking, a clear NMC pathway, and settlement after five years.
Overview
Working in the UK means registering with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The route has two exams: a CBT (Computer Based Test) you can sit from India, and an OSCE practical exam taken after you arrive in the UK. You'll also evidence English through IELTS (7.0) or OET (grade B).
Most nurses join on a Health and Care Worker visa sponsored by an employer, with an NHS pension, structured pay bands and a route to permanent settlement after five years. Family members can usually accompany you as dependants.
